If it goes wrong, it lands on you. Personally.

The law puts its own duty on directors and the senior managers who run the business. The company is not a shield.

Officers must exercise due diligence, which includes reasonable steps to acquire and keep up-to-date knowledge.

Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW), section 27(1) and (5)

An officer may be convicted of breaching that duty whether or not the business itself is.

requirements can apply.

15laws, regulations and codes

309clauses behind them

Nobody publishes them as one list.

Counted from Navigator’s library on 7 October 2026. What applies to a particular job depends on the site and your role.

Navigator does.

  1. Every requirement, in one place.

For your waste, your state and your role, each one linked to the exact clause it comes from. Your state’s own guidance on classifying waste sits alongside, marked as guidance.

  2. Turned into steps you can act on.

Hundreds of clauses become plain-English actions, in the order the work happens, with what to keep as evidence.

  3. Ask it anything.

Can I trust AI to answer my questions?

Ask is one part of Navigator, and it doesn’t answer from memory.

Underneath is a library of Australia’s waste laws, regulations and codes. Overlapping clauses are consolidated into the practical steps you need to take, for every state and territory and every stage from site to disposal, and every step links to the clause it comes from.

Ask searches that library and answers only from what it finds, citing each clause. If the library doesn’t cover your question, it says so instead of guessing.

General chatbots answer from memory and the open web, so they can miss requirements, lean on unofficial or out-of-date sources, and sometimes invent an answer.

Is it legal advice?

No. Navigator puts the law in one place: what’s required, what to do about it, and what it can cost if it’s missed, each traced to its clause. Whether you’ve met a requirement is a judgement for you or a qualified adviser.

Where is Navigator up to?

It’s in final checks ahead of launch. Foundation Partners are in first, ahead of the public release, at the Foundation rate. You’ll work with our team directly, so your waste streams, states and questions shape what we refine first.
